Teen Kickboxing Self-Defence
Confident and Capable Teens
Real movement. Real mindset. Real-world skills.
This isn’t about turning your teenager into a fighter. It’s about helping them grow into strong, switched-on, and self-aware humans — who can move well, think clearly, and protect themselves when it counts.
Our teen kickboxing and self-defence classes in Rowville are capped at 12 students, so every teenager gets the coaching, attention, and support they need.

More Than Kickboxing. More Than Self-Defence.
Helping Teens Become Stronger, Calmer & More Capable
Teenagers deal with real pressure — at school, socially, emotionally, and sometimes physically. They don’t just need fitness. They need tools that help them handle themselves better in the real world.
Our teens classes combine kickboxing, movement, self-protection, mindset, and breathwork to help young people become more confident, more aware, and more in control of themselves.
This isn’t about creating aggressive teenagers or teaching them to act tough. It’s about helping them become harder to break, without becoming harder to others.
Why Parents Like It:
✅ A positive outlet for energy, stress, and frustration
✅ Coaching that builds confidence without ego
✅ Practical skills that carry into everyday life
✅ A healthy mix of discipline, fun, and challenge
✅ A safe place to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally
Real-World Confidence, Awareness & Self-Protection
Practical Skills That Carry Beyond The Gym
This class gives teenagers practical tools to deal with pressure, improve their physical skills, and develop the kind of confidence that comes from being capable — not from bravado.
We teach them how to move well, strike well, think clearly, regulate emotion, and make better decisions under pressure. The goal is not just better training, but better everyday life.
They leave fitter, stronger, more aware, and more resilient — with lessons they can use at school, at work, in relationships, and in the world around them.
What They’ll Develop:
✅ Kickboxing skills, striking, pad work, and movement
✅ Better fitness, coordination, balance, and body awareness
✅ Awareness, boundary-setting, and safer decision-making
✅ Emotional control and calmness under pressure
✅ Confidence built on skill, not showing off

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. Our teens kickboxing self-defence classes are focused on building confidence, resilience and smart decision-making. Yes, they’ll learn effective self defence skills, but they’ll also develop critical thinking and emotional intelligence — and they’ll have fun doing it.
-
The focus isn’t on teaching teenagers to win fights. It’s on helping them recognise problems earlier, set boundaries, make better decisions and avoid or disengage where possible.
They learn awareness, movement, emotional control, boundary-setting and practical physical skills. If a situation becomes physical, the aim is to create an opportunity to escape and get help—not to dominate another person.
Training develops capability without encouraging aggression or bravado.
-
Yes. Many anxious or shy teens respond well to a class that provides clear structure, patient coaching and a supportive group—but every teenager is different.
We introduce activities progressively and allow teens to build confidence at their own pace. Classes include movement, breathing and awareness tools that can help them notice pressure and respond more calmly.
They aren’t expected to match anyone else or be thrown straight into challenging drills. If your teen has particular needs or concerns, let us know before their trial so we can discuss how best to support them.
Many parents tell us their teens become more comfortable, grounded and capable as they settle into training.
-
That’s completely fine—many of our students begin with no martial-arts experience.
We introduce movement, striking, balance and self-defence principles progressively, with clear coaching and time to practise. Teens don’t need to arrive fit, flexible, coordinated or confident. They begin from where they are and build from there.
How quickly someone settles in varies, but nobody is expected to already know what to do or keep up with more experienced students.
